SOFT FIRM challenges the traditional notion of law firm interiors, eschewing the stark division between front and back of house. With a design that pivots around a central kitchen, we crafted a space that feels more like a sophisticated Parisian apartment than a conventional office.
Inviting open conversations and fostering a sense of trust, the design recognised that many of life’s biggest conversations happen over a cup of tea around a kitchen bench.
The aesthetic of SOFT FIRM is a delicate balance of Art Deco influences and contemporary design. Timber mouldings, decorative wall trims, and secret doors with continued wall treatments pay homage to the elegance of bygone eras. These elements are juxtaposed with modern features like exposed service ceilings, creating a dynamic interplay between old and new.
The colour palette is a testament to our mastery of subtle sophistication. Warm whites, soft pinks, and earthy greens create a serene atmosphere, while dark flooring in the kitchen area provides a striking contrast. The result is a space that feels both grounded and uplifting, perfect for the sensitive nature of family law proceedings.
Every surface in SOFT FIRM tells a story. Herringbone parquet flooring flows through the space, interrupted by custom inset carpeting that adds warmth and acoustic comfort. The reception area boasts an antique desk and vintage cabinetry, setting a tone of timeless elegance from the moment clients enter.
