Kim Kneipp's career began in fashion.

Her design narrative stemmed from the idea of finding comfort within your body by crafting a silent conversation with the cloth that houses it.

After 15 years in fashion, her work expanded into costume and set design alongside mental health clothing deconstruction workshops in Australia and Canada. Kim has taught fashion design, styling and clothing refashioning workshops at design schools in Melbourne and Montreal and operated as The Sustainable Stylist from 2007, providing a personal styling and interior styling service.

With a direct lineage to the famous hot/cold therapy water-doctor Sebastian Kneipp, and a childhood spent working in her parent's businesses including an acupuncture clinic, commercial pottery and international cabinet-making company, the seeds for her eponymous studio were sown.

From 2013 to 2021 Kim was the Design Director for the multi-award-winning Peninsula Hot Springs. An all-encompassing role from strategy through to design and styling, Kim’s symbiotic alignment with the values of the business allowed for the successful growth of the company alongside the honing of her interior design, wellness and bathing expertise. The role saw the launch of a $13M new facility, working closely alongside the company owners, directors, architects, landscapers, carpenters and internal trades.

In 2022, in the depths of Melbourne's covid lockdowns, Kim Kneipp Studio was launched, specialising in bespoke residential, commercial and wellness design.

An avid bather, cook, gardener, tetris player and furniture rearranger, Kim speaks French, a rusty Italian and is trying to learn German.
